Mangosteen is a tropical fruit that is native to Southeast Asia and has been used as a medicine for many years. It is not related to the mango. This fruit and its benefits have caught the eye of the rest of the world in the past decade. Countries all over the world are examining the mangosteen fruit and its medicinal properties. The world of science has found xanthones in the rind of the fruit. Xanthones are a powerful antioxidant and helps the body heal itself from a variety of diseases, such as cancer, arthritis, heart disease, diabetes and an array of other chronic illnesses.
Mangosteen is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants are chemicals that impede the creation and release of free radicals. Even though the body produces free radical naturally to fight off infections; an overabundance can pose a threat to our health. They are contributory factors in many cancers, heart disease, emphysema and other chronic diseases. Antioxidants capture and safely allow free radicals to pass through the system without harm to our bodies.
Mangosteen is an unbelievable fruit with so many health benefits. It has been shown to improve:
Anxiety

Gum disease

Mangosteen comes in supplement and juice form. There are a variety of strengths for supplements and juice but the research has been inconclusive regarding the most effective strength for human body healing. Mangosteen is not a flavorful fruit and must be combined with more antioxidant fruit juices. Supplements provide all of the benefits of mangosteen without adding the calories.

Thanks for this great information. I think the Mangosteen fruit should rather be called the magic fruit.
Thank you for telling me about this fruit. I'm glad to hear it can be purchased in suppliment form- I intend to read up on it straight away, and probably get some. Again- Thanks--Ella
Nice article and it made me learn something new !!
Thanks for sharing the mangosteen. Kind of a funny name, like "Bruce Mangosteen."I'm a believer in buying local. If I found one of these in the supermarket, I would probably try it. Otherwise, we have every fruit and vegetable in whatever region we choose to live enough to sustain life. I don't feel cheated.
